Rwanda's head of state on Friday dismissed several high-ranking military officers, including Major General Martin Nzaramba and Colonel Etienne Uwimana, in a sweeping clean-up of the country's armed forces.
The dismissals, which include 195 other soldiers, follow allegations of corruption, misconduct and violations of the military code of conduct, according to the local press.
The Rwandan Defense Forces continue to impose strict discipline on their ranks, and similar resignations have been made in the past. (Sputnik)
