The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that it will pay four thousand dollars, equivalent to 254 thousand meticais, to the winner of the African Champions League, writes "The Country.

The runner-up will be entitled to two thousand dollars, or 127,000 meticais.

With this measure, the African soccer governing body aims to make African soccer competitive at world level by providing adequate incentives for African soccer clubs taking part in CAF competitions.

CAF has also announced the introduction of new technology for broadcasting the final, so that more people can follow the game.

The final of the African Champions League will be played over two legs. The first is scheduled for the 18th of this month, in Tunis, and the second is scheduled for the 25th, in Cairo.

The clash will be between the two giants of African soccer, who have won 15 African Champions League titles, 11 for Al Ahly and four for Espérance de Tunis.
