A 34-year-old man has been missing since yesterday, after allegedly throwing himself off the Maputo-KaTembe Bridge.

According to the spokesman for the Republic of Mozambique Police (PRM) in Maputo city, Leonel Muchina, at the scene of the incident, a Toyota Allion vehicle was found, with the registration plate AAD-691TT and a letter containing the telephone numbers of several people.

"The victim's body has yet to be located in the sea. Diligences are being carried out by the competent authorities and we promise to bring you more information about the case in the next few hours," he explained, as quoted by Notícias.

Images of the incident were circulated on social media, just like another episode that took place on the same bridge a few months ago.
