Sacur Latibo, a retired journalist from Rádio Moçambique (RM), lost his life on Thursday afternoon at Nampula Central Hospital as a result of an illness.
According to RMLatibo had already been suffering from kidney failure and, as his illness worsened, he was admitted to intensive care a few times.
Sacur Latibo joined Rádio Moçambique as a journalist in 1985 and retired in May 2001 after 35 years of service.
In his professional life, he rose to the rank of Editor, the top of his career, and held senior positions, including delegate for the provincial broadcasters of Cabo Delgado, between 2002 and 2008, and Sofala from 2008 to 2012, as well as member of the Superior Council of the Media (CSCS).
Sacur Latibo leaves behind a widow and two children.
