The players at Textáfrica in Chimoio, in the central province of Manica, have called a halt to their activities in protest at the non-payment of salaries for the last four months and the poor working conditions.

In a statement signed by the players of the "fabris", the delay in the match fees for the last four matches and the inadequate conditions in the players' accommodation are other factors that weighed in the decision.

The stoppage jeopardizes preparations for the 12th round of the Moçambola-2024 competition, where the first national champions will face Ferroviário de Nampula.
