Singer Jack White has written an open letter to Elon Musk in which he questions him about freedom of expression on the social network Twitter following the suspension of Kanye West's account, shortly after he readmitted him to the platform.
"So how's that 'freedom of speech'? I see, you had to choose who gets freedom of speech and who doesn't," the White Stripes singer wrote on his Instagram page.
Jack White wonders why Musk chooses certain figures like Trump, and purges others. As well as West, the Twitter owner banned Alex Jones and White questioned whether he too has the right to "freedom of expression".
"Alex Jones doesn't have the right to 'free speech' either? These guys incite violence, but Trump doesn't? Or is it because neither Jones nor Kanye can lower taxes for billionaires?" he asked.
It's worth remembering that White left Twitter a few weeks ago after Elon Musk gave former US President Donald Trump access to the platform, with the billionaire saying that he values "freedom of expression".
