A study cited by the news to the minute and published by Chinese researchers in Science Advances, concludes that China has managed to find water on the surface of the Moon.
According to the researchers, Chang'e-5 was able to detect water molecules on the Moon's surface, even though the analysis concluded that it is much drier than the Earth's.
Authors of the study also state that the water on the Moon's surface may have arisen due to a process known as "solar wind implantation," in which charged particles carried hydrogen atoms to the lunar surface, where they bonded with oxygen.
