Inhambane: Frelimo marcha pela paz, unidade e reconciliação

Hundreds of members and supporters of the Frelimo party marched yesterday in Massinga district, Inhambane province, in favor of peace and national reconciliation.

The march comes after recent episodes of violence in the Massinga district, and aims to restore harmony in that part of the country.

Party members and sympathizers walked through the town's main streets, chanting and displaying posters calling for national unity and collective progress.

Simão Rafael, head of the Provincial Brigade for Assistance and Support in the district of Massinga, said, as quoted in "O País", that the initiative aimed to strengthen cohesion among Mozambicans, emphasizing that reconciliation is essential to overcome current and future challenges.

Frelimo's first secretary in the district, Arnaldo Maunze, pointed out that, after the moments of tension, the community has made efforts to return to normality.

The source said that stability is fundamental so that daily and economic activities can prosper, benefiting all the residents of Massinga.
