The Frelimo party in Inhambane province accuses the opposition parties of destroying infrastructure, and calls on the population to wait for the official figures to be released.

In the party's view, the demonstrations that have been held are not the best way to claim some electoral injustice.

"We call on the population and all social groups to refrain from acts of violence, because they only tarnish the country's good image. We are seeing that some opposition parties are destroying infrastructure and carrying out acts of violence," said the party's first secretary in the province, Adélia Macucule.

On the other hand, he said that if the party is declared the winner, it will do everything it can to keep its promises.

"We assure you that we will work to honor that trust by working for the progress of the country," he promised.
