This Friday, an intense fire destroyed several rooms and furniture at the Provincial Kindergarten in the city of Inhambane.
According to a Radio MozambiqueThe fire is thought to have been caused by a short circuit in this nursery school, which houses twenty children and teenagers. However, there were no human casualties thanks to the prompt intervention of the agents of the National Public Salvation Service.
The director of the Provincial Social Affairs Service in Inhambane, Samuel Júnior, said that all the children and teenagers who were in the dormitories at the time were evacuated to the transit center in the provincial capital.
The source assured that there are minimum conditions in place, where the children are temporarily housed while resources are sought for the rehabilitation of the rooms destroyed by the fire.
