Launched, this Wednesday in Sofala, a regional campaign center for road surveillance. The initiative aims to prevent and combat traffic accidents.
Brigades of the National Road Transport Institute (INATRO) and traffic police from the provinces of Sofala, Manica and Tete are involved in the action.
The INATRO delegate in Sofala, José Chilevo, explained to Radio Mozambique, that the intensive inspection will not only assess the vehicles' conditions, but also the drivers' level of preparation.
The Chief of the Traffic Police Department in Sofala, Cassimo Aly, pointed out that the growing number of traffic accidents worries the authorities, hence the need to identify the causes and hold those involved accountable.
