The National Institute of Road Transport (INATRO) is not printing provisional driving licenses, vehicle registrations, or data capture.
The scenario has been going on since Thursday, curiously the day that the telephone operator and Internet service provider, Mozambique Telecom (Tmcell) ordered the government websites (gov.mz) offline due to a debt that some state companies have with Tmcell.
Initially INATRO gave no explanation about the real causes of the problem, but the pressure made by the users that have been coming daily to INATRO, made the institution issue a statement that pointed to a system failure in GovNet, as the source of the problem.
