A system of low atmospheric pressures with the potential to reach the Tropical Storm stage, starting this Wednesday (26) is influencing the occurrence of rain and thunderstorms in our country and in the Mozambique channel.
The warning comes from the National Meteorological Institute (INAM), which points out that according to current projections, "the system will evolve into a moderate tropical storm on the 26th of this month, as it moves towards the southern part of Madagascar".
Meanwhile, another weather system has formed east of Madagascar. "Current projections indicate that the system will develop into a moderate tropical storm tomorrow, February 25, as it moves eastward away from Madagascar."
In a statement released this afternoon, INAM said it would continue to monitor the evolution of this system, and also appealed to the population to continue to follow the meteorological information and warnings issued by the competent national authorities.
