The National Meteorological Institute (INAM) is warning of the formation today, Tuesday (30), of a low atmospheric pressure system, with the potential to develop into a moderate tropical storm on Thursday, northwest of the Mozambique Channel, in the southwestern Indian Ocean basin.
According to INAM, the current projection indicates a high probability of approaching the north coast, which could affect the provinces of Cabo Delgado and Nampula with moderate to locally heavy rain, gusty winds and severe thunderstorms.
However, INAM guarantees that it will continue to monitor the evolution of this system, calling on the population to continue to follow the meteorological information and warnings issued by the competent national authorities.
