The National Meteorological Institute (INAM) warned on Monday (4) of a tropical disturbance starting today in the provinces of Nampula, Cabo Delgado, Niassa (north) and Zambézia (center).
According to INAM, the phenomenon will cause moderate rain and strong winds, with gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour.
"The situation could agitate the sea and generate waves up to four meters high between parallels 10 and 20 degrees south," the organization said in a statement.
However, INAM recommends taking precautionary and safety measures for maritime navigation in the face of the phenomenon.
