The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) is forecasting moderate to heavy rain, locally heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, starting tonight in the south of the country..

According to INAM, the weather is expected to affect the cities of Maputo and Matola, as well as the districts of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane provinces.

Against this backdrop, INAM is calling for precautionary and safety measures.
