The National Inspection of Economic Activities (INAE), in coordination with Customs, intends to intensify the control of imported products from the points of entry to the country, to curb the consumption of improper food.
The action arises from INAE's concern regarding the products sold in the market, some of which were recently seized by the institution.
"By learning (the products) at the points of entry, we will be preventing them from being distributed in the market. This way it is easier to prevent their consumption," said, INAE spokesman, Tomas Timba, quoted by "Notícias".
The source also reveals that the food is not only bad for the consumer's health, but also compromises the development of the national industry, not least because the illegals' tendency is to sell at low prices.
