Free Trade Area Implementation Brings Pan-African Parliament Together

Implementação da zona de comércio livre reúne Parlamento Pan-Africano

The Pan African Parliament is holding a seminar today in Midrand, South Africa, on speeding up the implementation of the African continental free trade area.

According to RM, the African parliamentarians will be debating their role in the free trade area agreement on the African continent.

The agreement represents an opportunity for African countries to stimulate growth, reduce poverty and broaden economic inclusion.

The head of the national group at the Pan African Parliament, Aires Aly, said a few days ago in Midrand that Mozambique ratified the agreement because, among other things, it will make Africa a competitive trade area.

Aires Aly assures that Mozambique is already preparing for what he calls the competitive phase that comes with the implementation of the African continental free trade zone.

Later this week, the Pan-African Parliament will debate the peace and security situation on the continent, as part of the Africa Day celebrations, which will take place on the 25th of this month.
