A total of 40 patients were admitted to Maputo Central Hospital as a result of the demonstrations that took place on October 21, 24 and 25.
The information was presented yesterday by the HCM's director of emergency services, Dino Lopes.
Lopes, who was speaking at a press conference, said that "on the first day of the demonstrations, (...) the total number of admissions was 16, as I mentioned in other reports.... demonstrations on the 24th and 25th, we had a total of 24 patients who were admitted to the emergency services and 10 were hospitalized", he said.
These figures total 40 patients in three days of demonstrations.
According to the source, of the 10 who were hospitalized, "we have a 41-year-old woman who is in a critical condition and is currently in intensive care, under the care of our colleagues," he said.
