On Wednesday morning (24), Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB) S.A. officially launched its new "Supplier Portal" in Maputo.
According to a company statement, the main aim of the new "Supplier Portal" platform is to ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and procedures, as well as improving and speeding up the process of launching tenders for the supply of goods and services.
"This renewed platform, with new elements, will transform the way we interact with suppliers and how we conduct the procurement processes for goods and services at HCB," said Tomás Matola, chairman of HCB's board of directors during the launch of the platform.
The chairman also revealed on the occasion that the company has recorded around 2.2 billion meticais in annual purchases of goods and services. Of these, 60% were made on the domestic market, representing approximately 1.32 billion meticais in purchases from Mozambican companies".
According to Matola, the HCB Supplier Portal represents "our conviction and commitment to transparency, efficiency and fairness in our practices, in all our purchasing processes".
"It's proof of our dedication to fostering strong and mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers, but above all it shows our commitment to boosting Mozambique's economic development through the national business community, providing an environment of fairness and equality for all," said the president.
