The shareholders of Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB) S.A, one of the largest independent power producers in the southern region of Africa, will receive dividends for the 2024 financial year as of May 12, 2025. Payment will be made to registered shareholders by May 7, 2025.

In a statement sent to our newsroom, HCB said that the distribution of dividends is in compliance with the resolutions of the Ordinary General Meeting, held on April 21, 2025, whose gross value approved by the shareholders is 0.28 meticais per share.

"For Series B shareholders, dividends are subject to a 10% clearance rate for personal income tax (IRPS), corporate income tax (IRPC) and any other charges levied by banking institutions," says the HCB document.

In this regard, HCB advises shareholders to go to the banks where their shares are registered to confirm that they will receive their dividends from May 12th.

Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa is a private limited company whose shareholder structure is made up of Companhia Eléctrica do Zambeze (CEZA), with 85% of the shares, and Redes Energéticas Nacionais.H
