The President of the United States of America (USA), Donald Trump, announced yesterday that Israel and Hamas have approved the first phase of the agreement proposed by the USA for Gaza, allowing for the release of all Israeli hostages.

"I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both approved the first Phase of our Peace Plan," Trump said at the Truth Social, emphasizing that the hostages will be released soon and that Israel will pull back its troops to an agreed line.

All parties will be "treated fairly", he added.

"Hamas announces that an agreement has been reached that provides for an end to the war in Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupiers, the entry of humanitarian aid and an exchange of prisoners," the group said in a statement on Telegram.
