The group of computer 'hackers', "Anonymous," said Wednesday that it has shut down the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscomos) as a coercive measure for Moscow to lose "control over spy satellites."
A Twitter post features an image of what the hacker group claims is information from Roscosmos' server.
The information of these scammers and petty swindlers is not true. All our space activity control centers are operating normally. https://t.co/MY0qzlLqCI

Anonymous reveals it has downloaded and deleted confidential files related to the space agency's satellite imagery and Vehicle Monitoring System.
The CEO of Roscomos refuted the claims of Anonymous, calling them "scammers and petty crooks" who are spreading false information.
"All our space activity control centers are operating normally," Dimitry Rogozin assured.
The same representative pointed out that Russia would treat any cyberattack on its satellites as justification for war.
This news comes a few days after Anonymous reported the successful breach of over 300 Russian websites.
