Some districts in the northern part of Zambezia have been without electricity from the national grid since Monday, due to falling poles following the passage of Tropical Depression Ana.
The administrator of Mocuba, Joaquim Pahare, speaking at the meeting of the emergency operating committee, guided by the secretary of state, indicated that the situation affects more than seven districts.
Some residents of Mocuba say that the interruption in power supply is creating constraints in social and economic life.
For his part, the Permanent Secretary of Lugela, Manuel Agostinho, indicated that following the blackout, the district is without communication by mobile phone.
