Russia this Saturday issued an ultimatum to Ukrainian forces to surrender. The threat was made by the Russian Defense Ministry which stated that "the only chance" is that Ukrainian soldiers surrender by this Sunday morning.

Meanwhile according to international news portals Russia continues to record heavy losses. Yesterday Russian Major General Vladimir Frolov, deputy commander of the 8th Army, was buried after he died in combat in Ukraine. He is the eighth Russian general killed since the beginning of the invasion.

As for Ukraine, Russian sources speak of more than 20,000 casualties since the offensive began last February 24.
