vivo Energy Moçambique, the leading fuel and lubricant distribution group, inaugurated another Engen filling station in Maputo yesterday (11).
Located on Avenida Julius Nyerere in the city of Maputo, this is the 6th Engen station to be installed in the Mozambican capital, and the 16th in the region comprising Maputo city and Maputo province, out of a total of 45 existing stations from Rovuma to Maputo.
The new Engen Mozambique service station is the result of Vivo Energy's commitment to growing its network of service stations and increasing the range of petroleum products on offer with the highest quality standards and increasingly efficient services.
"The opening of this station demonstrates the solidity of Vivo Energy in Mozambique, particularly in Maputo, which is making great strides in expanding nationwide, with the aim of bringing Engen products and services closer to more people through our network of gas stations," said Moussa Konate, CEO of Vivo Energy during his speech, without giving any figures for the investment made.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project, he said, is the employment of local people, particularly a large number of women who play a key role in making the station a success. The source said that of the 26 employees working at the station, 16 are women.
"Their dedication and hard work exemplify the strength and capability of our community, and we are honored to have them as part of the Vivo Energy family," said Konate.
The source also highlighted the social responsibility that has characterized the company throughout this process of expansion and growth of Vivo Energy Mozambique. "We understand that our growth and success are intertwined with the well-being of the communities we serve. Our commitment to social responsibility goes beyond our business objectives," said Vivo Energy's CEO.
