Residents of the Katembe district gathered this morning on the Maputo Katembe bridge and closed the passage in protest at the closure of the Guacheni stop, just after the bridge. According to a source contacted by MZNews, the residents are demanding that the Guacheni stop be reinstated.

It should be remembered that about a month ago, near the same bus stop, which has now been closed, there was an accident involving a passenger bus.

In fact, according to the source, this was the reason why the town council closed the bus stop.

The police were on the scene and by now the situation seems to have returned to normal. Cars are now using the bridge normally.
