The government wants greater supervision and control of the mining area, in order to respond to the growth that the industry and the energy sector have seen in recent years.
According to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy, Teodoro Cândido, who was speaking this Tuesday at the opening of the III National Council of Inspectors, the growth of the mining industry in the country should be accompanied by greater supervision so that it can contribute to the national economy.
"The inspection activity in the sector should be active, fast and translate into results that contribute to the prevention of accidents, the fight against smuggling and a greater inflow of financial resources into the state coffers," said Cândido.
