The Ministry of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries launched this Friday, in Maputo, the Census that will allow the collection of data on artisanal fishing and aquaculture.

With the launch, the government expects a greater contribution to the development of the national economy.

Lídia Cardoso, Minister of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, said that the Census will also provide information about the number of fishermen in the country, the number of vessels in use, as well as the number and type of fishing gear used.
