The government has also revealed that it is in talks with judicial magistrates with a view to finding solutions to the problems that are plaguing the class.
The guarantee was given today (03) by the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Helena Kida, on the sidelines of the National Religious Conference.
In a NewsShe assured that the Executive is in constant interaction with the magistrates, through a platform for dialogue created since the threat of a strike in August, in order to demand better working conditions, financial independence and security for magistrates, among other concerns.
"As part of the dialogue, a timetable has been established to address these and other concerns," added Helena Kida.
According to the minister, during the talks it was concluded that some demands would not be met immediately. "There are some demands whose solution takes time, for example, when it comes to housing, the debate we have is whether to buy or build," she said.
With regard to security, Helena Kida noted that the issue is being analyzed from two angles, the first being the assignment of a security guard to each judge, which has proved unbearable, but also studying the possibility of arming magistrates. The latter, according to the source, raises the question of where to get these weapons.
He pointed out that there is another debate about promoting the safety of judges depending on the case they are judging or their assignment.
She recalled that, following the suspension of the judges' strike, it was announced that a bill on the financial independence of the courts would be drafted and submitted to Parliament in the next parliamentary term.
As a result of the progress in negotiations, the class decided to suspend the strike, but warned that the disagreement over the Single Wage Scale (TSU) would be enough to resume it.
