The Minister of Labor, Margarida Talapa, has granted a period of grace to all workers, civil servants and citizens throughout the country who profess the Christian religion on March 29th, on the occasion of the celebration of Easter.
Time off does not apply to workers whose work does not allow for interruption in the public interest.
The concession comes in response to a request from Reverend João Damião, secretary-general of the Christian Council of Mozambique, to allow Christian practitioners to take part in Easter celebrations.
