The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, says that the complaints lodged by the Judges' Association, as well as by the magistrates of the Public Prosecutor's Office, are legitimate.
Quoted by the newspaper "O País", the government official also said that there is no crisis in the dialogue between the associations and the government and guarantees that the issues raised in the demands will be resolved.
The public prosecutors sent their complaints to the government a few days ago and, in fact, they are similar to those of the judges.
"It's true that the government is aware of the demands, but we have a forum for negotiating these concerns. We have received them, as a government, and we are still in the process of discussing some aspects, because there are some things that really just need to be clarified and there are issues that have to do with salary problems. I hope that things will happen as soon as possible," said Maleiane.
"At the moment, we're at a fairly advanced stage, because the government has articulated that there is a National Justice Administration System, and the government has been represented through the Ministry of Justice. So they are working. I just ask all the judges and all the magistrates to remain calm," he said.
The minister guaranteed that the executive is working and the answer will be given, which is why he believes there is no need to strike.
The Prime Minister made these statements in Maputo City, after taking part in the "Youth, Peace and Security (JPS) - Dialogue on the Peace Agenda and Youth Leadership Perspective in Mozambique". (Source: O País)
