Mozambican international Geny Catamo missed Sporting's return to training on Monday (03), having been handed over to the medical department after coming off injured in the 25th minute of the home win against Farense (3-1) on Sunday.

Catamo was substituted in the 25th minute, leaving on a stretcher after suffering an injury to his right foot during a tackle, and yesterday, according to the 'lions', he was "handed over to the performance unit", leaving Rui Borges' options, such as Nuno Santos, Pedro Gonçalves and Hidemasa Morita, out of action.

The starters from Sunday's game, in which Sporting held on to their lead at the top of the Portuguese soccer league, did some recovery work, with the rest training as normal on their return to the club's academy in Alcochete, on the way to the derby against third-placed FC Porto, scheduled for Friday.
