Geny Catamo is the tenth most used player after the 32nd matchday of the Portuguese Football League, out of a total of 26 players in the Sporting squad that won the championship last Sunday.
The creative right winger has so far played 1,684 minutes, made 27 appearances and scored five goals.
According to statistics quoted by the weekly newspaper Domingo, Geny is beaten on this list by Viktor Gyökeres (2743 minutes, 31 games), Pedro Gonçalves (2415/30), Gonçalo Inácio (2303/30), Hjulmand (2155/29), Coates (2100, 27), Diomandé (2029/25), Morita (1982/27), Adán (1980/22) and Nuno Santos (1946/29), but he is ahead of footballers who were just as fundamental to the 20th title.title, such as Trincão, Matheus Reis, Edwards and Paulinho.
With two more matches to play in the Portuguese League, against Estoril and Chaves, and the Portuguese Cup final, against FC Porto, the Mozambican international is sure to get more minutes.
