The Provincial Command of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) in Gaza has promoted a total of 854 police officers, of whom nine are senior officers, 82 junior officers, 427 are sergeants and 336 are police guards.

The provincial commander of the PRM, Celestino Vianeque, was quoted by Notícias as saying that the process of promotion by seniority takes place at the same time as the readjustment to organic rank.

On the occasion, the commander urged those promoted to end the challenges ahead with great determination, guaranteeing public order and tranquillity during the election campaign process until polling day.
