Galp Moçambique has renewed its support for the International Association of Students of Economic and Business Sciences, AIESEC, for the 2024 cycle.
The company's main objective is to support AIESEC in realizing the academic, professional and personal potential of Mozambican youth.
The company believes that valuing young people, aligning academic qualifications with the job market, is essential for Mozambique's prosperity.
The partnership, closed during the tenth edition of the Partnership Breakfast, provides for the hiring of national interns (Local Internship Program), the company's involvement in AIESEC's social responsibility programs, networking possibilities between Galp professionals and AIESEC members at conferences, events, workshops, as well as training and youth development sessions.
"Galp is committed to the development of Mozambican youth, from school benches to universities, right through to the job market. Ensuring an alignment between skills and employment is essential. With AIESEC, we're not just qualifying human capital or attracting talent: we have the privilege of working with the business and social leaders of the future," says Cláudia Ngwenya, head of Marketing and Communications at Galp Mozambique.
Galp Moçambique took part in various AIESEC events, also promoting four workshops: Sales and Negotiation; Career and Personal Development; Organizational Culture; Personal Branding. These initiatives reached more than 250 young people, including training and social responsibility programs, and culminated in young people joining Galp's staff. alumni AIESEC.
The President of AIESEC, Natacha Chemane, said that "the Partnership Breakfast allowed us to celebrate and strengthen our partnerships that make possible the work that AIESEC has been doing in Mozambique. Every year we get together to hold this event, the main aim of which is to reinforce our commitment to making AIESEC a benchmark association in professional development and, on the basis of our programs, to provide an environment with practical, quality experiences for young people by passing on the baton between the teams".
The Partnership Breakfast is an accountability session on AIESEC's activities and brought together members of the government, the media, companies and members of the public. alumni of the advisory board and honorary committee represented by the former President of the Republic of Mozambique, Joaquim Alberto Chissano.
