Civil servants go for training in Japan

Funcionários públicos vão a formação no Japão

Forty agents and civil servants will be trained to master's level in Japan between 2025 and 2028, through the Human Resources Development Scholarship project, reports "Notícias".

The training takes place under a program run by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to train human resources in strategic areas.

The training also aims to strengthen the civil service and Mozambique's social and economic development.

The director-general of the Institute for Scholarships (IBE), Carla Caomba, was quoted by "Notícias" as saying that the awarding of scholarships reinforces and strengthens the government's desire to provide citizens with a better education, with opportunities to study abroad.

The source recalled that Japan is one of Mozambique's main strategic partners in the training and development of human capital and that the training will cover 10 scholarship holders each year.
