Frelimo's interim secretary-general and presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo, will be visiting the Portuguese Republic from Friday, June 28, until June 30. This visit comes after Chapo was presented in the country's ten provinces and toured some countries in the southern region.

According to a press release distributed by the Frelimo party, the trip is part of what it considers to be a "strengthening" of the traditional and historic relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between the party that has governed Mozambique since the proclamation of National Independence, and the main political parties in Portugal, the Socialists and Social Democrats.

In addition to meetings with the leaders of the PS and PSD, Daniel Chapo will visit the cities of Lisbon and Porto, where he will also meet with members and supporters of Frelimo and the Mozambican community.
