Frelimo's interim secretary-general and presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo, will visit South Africa, on a date yet to be announced, this month.
According to Rádio Moçambique, this information was provided on Saturday in the South African city of Mbombela by the head of Frelimo's central sub-brigade in support of South Africa, Isaías Mondlane.
During his visit, Daniel Chapo will hold meetings with Mozambican communities and Frelimo members and supporters based there, according to Mondlane.
The source also said that from these meetings Daniel Chapo hopes to learn about the concerns and take with him recommendations from Mozambicans, which will be included in the electoral manifesto that will guide the next cycle of government.
Still in the land of the rand, Daniel Chapo will hold meetings with the leaders of the African National Congress and the South African Communist Party.
Daniel Chapo has been touring countries with historical ties to Mozambique, having already visited Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Angola and Portugal.
