Frelimo considers deepening relations an imperative need

Frelimo considera aprofundamento das relações uma necessidade imperiosa

The Frelimo party believes that deepening national unity this year, when general elections are to be held, is an imperative need, a moment of celebration and cohesion among Mozambicans.

In a message on February 3, the day of the death of Eduardo Mondlane, the first president of the Front for the Liberation of Mozambique, which is being celebrated this Saturday, Frelimo says that the date represents all the heroes of the resistance, the armed struggle for national liberation and nation building.

"Frelimo, because it sees itself in the life and work of this distinguished son of the Beloved Homeland, urges all compatriots to cultivate love for the homeland and to value the achievements that constitute the legacy of these heroes," reads the message quoted by Rádio Mocambique.
