Inspectors at the Limpopo National Park in Massingir have decided to stop work in protest at the lack of contracts, pay cuts and precarious working conditions.

According to a report in the newspaper "O País", more than 60 inspectors from the Limpopo National Park, in Gaza province, decided on Monday morning to come to a complete standstill.

They are contesting the non-renewal of their contracts, even when they are still working, as well as salary cuts since 2019.

According to the same source, the strikers are talking about adverse working conditions in a context of risk of attacks by wild animals and poachers.

Meanwhile, the administrator of the Limpopo National Park says he will make a statement in the next few days.
