Finland in NATO? Country decides "in a few weeks"

Finland's Prime Minister Sanna Marin said Wednesday that officials will decide "in a few weeks" whether the country will apply for membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Also according to the agency, the government of the Nordic country sent the deputies a document in which was information about the implications for the country if it joins the international organization. The document read that in the current war context there were no security guarantees for Finland, even though it is a NATO ally.
