The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, as Commander-in-Chief of the Defense and Security Forces, defended this morning that scientific activity is indispensable in military operations, as in other social areas.

To this end, Nyusi challenges the graduates of the Higher Institute of Defense Studies Lieutenant General Armando Emílio Guebuza (ISEDEF), to use technological mechanisms to confer greater quality to the commands.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Defence and Security Forces said that "one must demand that the best commander is the one who was in the real fire. One has to go to the field, because the best commander is the one who has been to the real fire", instructed Filipe Nyusi quoted by Notícias, to then reinforce that "when one goes to the field, one goes with his instructors, instructors, teachers to materialize the theoretical work. This activity is not done on a simulation basis, but on the field.

Filipe Nyusi's pronouncements were made during the closing of the joint staff courses for promotion to senior officers and for graduation and master's degrees of the civilian branch of ISEDEF.
