The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, on Wednesday urged the Muslim Community to continue to be the agent of socio-economic development and concord in the country and the world.
The Head of State's exhortation comes on the occasion of Eid Ul Adha, which was celebrated yesterday, recognizing that the Muslim community in Mozambique has made an invaluable contribution to consolidating peace and building a prosperous and prosperous nation.
"Eid Ul Adha is marked a few days after we sealed an important stage in the disarmament and demobilization of our brothers, the former Renamo guerrillas, igniting, from our country, the flame of renewed hope for a world of peace, solidarity and concord among brothers," reads the message.
According to Nyusi, "on the occasion of Eid Ul Adha, on behalf of the People and Government of the Republic of Mozambique and on my own behalf, I wish the entire Muslim Community in the country and throughout the world a happy celebration, inspired by the Prophet Ibrahim, who teaches us to consent to sacrifices and to persevere in the face of life's adversities, placing love for God above any worldly desire."
"We wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters a happy holiday, together with their families, friends and brothers and sisters in faith," said the Mozambican Head of State.
