The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, has sent his condolences to the family and people of Namibia on the death of President Hage Geingob.

"This is a sad event for the people of Namibia, the southern region and the entire African continent," he said in a message published on his Facebook page.

In the same message, the Mozambican Head of State reiterated that "President Geingob was an invaluable partner in the joint efforts to consolidate bilateral and multilateral achievements through frank and open dialogue".

In his message, Filipe Nyusi reiterates his commitment to the steps taken together for the good of the nations.
