On Saturday afternoon (30), Ferroviário de Maputo won the 44th edition of the Mozambique Cup, beating União Desportiva de Songo 2-1 in the final match played at the 25 de Junho Stadium in the city of Nampula..
According to a Sunday newspaperThe winning goal for the "locomotives" was scored by Victor Malino in the 113th minute, i.e. 23 of the 30 minutes of stoppage time, to break a one-goal deadlock that had existed since the first half of regulation time.
In fact, Ferroviário de Maputo were the first team to score, through Amâncio Canhembe, better known as Neymar, in the 27th minute. Five minutes later (32), UD Songo equalized thanks to a goal scored by Zambian Muzaza.
The score held until half-time and remained unchanged throughout the second half, taking the game into extra time.
