Family members, friends and colleagues paid tribute this morning to the leader and parliamentary candidate of Mozambique's Optimist Party for Development (PODEMOS), who was shot dead at dawn on Saturday (19) in Maputo City.

After the wake at HCM, Guambe's body will be transferred to Jangamo, Inhambane province, where the funeral will take place tomorrow, October 24.

Paulo Guambe leaves behind an only daughter, aged 16, who is orphaned by her mother and father.
