The reverend, musician, writer and former chairman of the National Electoral Commission (NEC), Aaron Litsuri, died of an illness in the early hours of Sunday morning, after spending a week in hospital in South Africa.
The information was provided by the portal "The Country" and by Mozambique Television, on one of his social networks.
Litsuri also served as the former National Director of Religious Affairs at the Ministry of Justice.
The process of moving the body from South Africa to Mozambique is due to begin tomorrow.
