The National Roads Administration (ANE) considers the excessive load on goods vehicles to be the main factor contributing to the early deterioration of the country's road network infrastructure.

This finding was presented this morning at the 59th Maputo International Fair (FACIM 2024) by Daniel Machai, an ANE engineer, at a seminar on the country's roads, according to Notícias.

To mitigate this problem, ANE intends to continue installing weighbridges on national roads, a measure that should be accompanied by the approval of legal instruments that penalize cases of overloading. (News)
