Islamic State channels this Thursday released information and photo reports indicating that they attacked a position of Mozambican forces and their SADC allies in Cabo Delgado province, writes Carta de Moçambique.

According to the "Carta", quoting the IS propaganda media, in the attack that took place on September 19, in addition to taking the lives of seven Mozambican soldiers and SAMIM, the terrorists claim to have burned two vehicles and captured various weapons in addition to stealing goods.

According to the records of the "Charter" it is an ambush of the unit of the SDS, in the region of the Nkundi River, which separates the villages V Congress and Quitama, in the district of Nangade.

In this region, between Thursday and Sunday, Mozambican forces and their SADC allies destroyed previously identified terrorist bases. However, a day later, a column of the joint forces fell into an ambush, in which casualties and some injuries were reported.
